Star walked along the gravestones in the cemetery, a small bundle of roses in her hands. Reaching the grave she was looking for, she set them down and looked at the headstone again. It read:
Here lies Derek And Melissa Kales Father and Mother Siblings to more than one They will always be remembered Derek / Melissa 1972-2008 / 1974-2008
Star didn't cry, she'd never truly loved her parents, she simply turned and walked away.

Crouched, griefstricken and angered Remorse lingered, like a dark cloud on a cold winter day, near a grave. The grave belonged to a close friend of his, Jonnathan Helm.

Remorse drug his hand across the engraved lettering and then collapsed to his knees and elbows crying. Ever since they went to highschool they had both planned on joining the military. And they both had, He had lost his so called "brother" on a mission into russia. He changed his name shortly after getting out of the service, and never talked to anyone who knew him after. But every day he would come to Jonny's grave weap, talk and eat but then leave....6 years had passed from the end of highschool.
Remorse looked up hearing the slight whoosh of roses hit a grave, "Do you ho-honestly not care....How could you go on living like you are...i made that mis-." Remorse at first said angerly choking back tears and then recognized who he was talking to. "Oh my god!" he sat there, as a tear rolled of his cheek, in sheer amazment.

Star stopped walking as she heard someone start to talk. It was a boy. His voice was vaugley familiar, but she couldn't place it. Hearing what he was saying to her, she whirled around in anger, her face flushed. "Listen, you! If you knew who my parents were, maybe you-." Star stopped dead as she saw who'd spoken. Seeing a tear roll down his cheek and realizing he recognized her, too, she ran back the few yards to him and threw her arms around his neck, crying into his shoulder. Through her sobs she tried to talk but not a whole lot made sense. One thing that was audible was, "Deadly....I thought I'd lost you....Deadly....."

"deadly? its hunter..." he laughed and hugged her tightly, (boy...im 24) "where did you end up after highschool for six years, Ember?" he closed his eyes and breathed deeply through his nose, her familiar smell corrupted his nostrils. He had stood before she got to him.
"wow your looking great, all grown up and beautiful." he said into her ear softly as not to hert her ear. He smiled slightly for once in 3 years.

Star quit crying so she could hear him, and she smiled at the compliment about her being beautiful. He'd always said stuff like that to her. In answer to his question she said, "Oh, here and there. I traveled for a while, and came back to New York two years ago. I've missed you, it's been so long. But you changed your name, huh? Why thouhg? Where did you go off to?" she asked him.

"where did I go? Where did I go?" he repeated the question outloud, Star always had a way of making him feel important and special. "well I joined the military, to fly apache's, where i got this nickname and I never wen't back to my normal name." he fought back the memories as he spoke.

Star smiled. "I should have known. You always loved the military." she said. And it was true, he always had. "I'm so glad you're back though. Six Years it too long," She said, and kissed him softly.
